Brunswick’s Men Clinch Division 1 Title
Brunswick Men’s first team once again secured top honours in the Sheffield and District Men’s Division 1 league. In what was an incredibly tough league the team deservedly lifted the title for the 24th consecutive season since the inauguration of the Men’s Feathers League in the 1987/88 season. Mark Needham team captain reflected by saying “this is probably the most challenging and hardest fought league title I can remember; the standard of the division is incredible and probably the best since I’ve been playing in the league; I would even go as far to say that the Sheffield Men’s League is now the best in the North of England.”
The Team won the title by going through the entire season without losing a match. Mark went on to say “the success the team enjoyed was very much down to playing a consistent team for most of the year, great team spirit and the fact that every pairing contributed positively to the team’s results”
